agave on the needles

I'm feeling pretty motivated to work through my sweater quantities of yarn that I got myself this year at the yarn crawl. The thrill of finishing a piece that actually looks like clothes is pretty great. I've been making a bit of progress on my Clint shawl I started a few months ago, but it's going to be my slow and steady project. This one, on the other hand, I hope will be a good one to focus on! I finally cast on my Agave.

I started it a few days ago and got myself into the wee hours of the morning by finishing the first lace chart. I've been trying to have some quiet time in the mornings to knit a few rows, and this is the progress I have made so far. It's looking really pretty in this soft yellow yarn, and despite the fact that it's knitted flat, I am enjoying the rhythm of the making. Surprisingly, it's growing at a pretty quick pace, I feel it won't be a challenge to finish by the end of July without forcing it.
